The next for another place with a very good beaches and world famous for the gigantic waves. The surfing capital of the Philippines, Siargao. Siargao is a tear-drop shaped island in the Philippine Sea situated 800 kilometers and is located off the northeastern coast of Mindanao.

Siargao has its own small yet serviceable airport, named Sayak Airport. Traveling by air is the most efficient way to get to the island. In the past, the usual route (from Manila) is to first take a flight to Cebu City or Surigao City, then take another flight to Siargao. This has changed, however, since Siargao Airport and Cebu pacific now offers direct flights to and from Manila to Siargao for about 2,000 pesos. Also Siargao is has a wet and dry seasons. It is relatively dry between March and November and wet during December to February because of monsoon winds bringing a series of rains in the area. But if you visit the place solely because of surfing the season don’t matter are at all cause the waves are still strong and big. However the month September to November are enticing beacuse of many activities are being held there like the Cloud 9 siargao surfing tournament. So if you plan to go on that month you will encounter a very lively surrounding bur just a reminder you will also face a horde of tourist and citizens of the place in the time being.
